How do I connect to a Fire TV TV?
- 1Put your phone and Fire TV / Firestick on the same Wi-Fi network.
- 2Open Remofy and select your Fire TV from the discovered devices.
- 3The Fire TV shows a 4-digit code. Type it into Remofy once.
- 4No code on the TV? Remofy switches to ADB debugging and walks you through it: open Settings > My Fire TV > Developer options and turn on ADB debugging (no Developer options? Open Settings > My Fire TV > About and press Select on the device name 7 times). When the TV asks "Allow USB debugging?", tick "Always allow from this computer" and choose OK.

How do I use a Firestick without the remote?
Install Remofy on your phone and put the phone and the Fire TV on the same Wi-Fi network. Select your Fire TV in Remofy and type the 4-digit code the TV shows. You can then control the Firestick from your phone. If your Fire TV doesn't offer the code, Remofy switches to ADB debugging and walks you through it.
Do I need the original Fire TV remote to set this up?
Not for the code: you only read the 4-digit code off the TV screen and type it into Remofy. If your Fire TV doesn't offer the code, Remofy uses ADB debugging instead, and then you need a way to press a few buttons once: to turn on ADB debugging and to choose OK on the "Allow USB debugging?" message. If the remote is gone, your TV's own remote can often drive the Fire TV through HDMI-CEC. After that, your phone does the rest.
Does Remofy work with every Fire TV?
The code method is confirmed on recent Fire TV Sticks (Fire OS 8). Other Fire TV models, including Fire TV smart TVs from brands like Hisense and TCL, should work too, and Remofy falls back to ADB debugging on any that don't offer the code. On newer Fire TV Sticks with Amazon's Vega OS (Fire TV Stick 4K Select and newer), Remofy tries the code method, but support isn't confirmed yet. If it doesn't work on your model, use the Amazon Fire TV app or the physical remote.
Can I use a Fire TV remote online in my browser?
No. A web page can't reach devices on your home network, so browser remotes for Fire TV don't work. The closest option is a free phone app on the same Wi-Fi as your Fire TV, like Remofy. It needs no account and no subscription.
